Linkedroid ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Linkedroid – The LinkedIn™ Helper Chrome browser extension (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains precisely what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and protected, and the choices you have as a user.

We are committed to minimal data collection. We only collect what is strictly necessary to authenticate you and operate the Extension.

1. Data We Collect

Minimal Collection

1.1 Email Address (Authentication Only)

The only personal data we collect is your email address. This is collected when you register for or log into the Linkedroid Extension via our website (linkedroid.com).

1.2 What We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect, access, store, or process any of the following:

LinkedIn profile data, connections, messages, or any content from LinkedIn pages you visit
Browsing history or activity on any website (inside or outside LinkedIn)
Keystrokes, form inputs, or clipboard content
IP address or device identifiers
Phone numbers, physical addresses, or any government-issued identifiers
Financial or payment information (handled entirely by our payment processor)
Cookies from LinkedIn or any third-party site
Any data from LinkedIn pages beyond what your own browser already fetches to render those pages

The Extension operates locally inside your browser. All LinkedIn automation actions (sending connection requests, messages, etc.) are performed directly by your browser on your behalf. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your email address is used solely for the following purposes:

Account creation & authentication – to verify that you have a valid Linkedroid license when the Extension starts.
License enforcement – to confirm your subscription or trial status.
Service communications – to send you your license key, billing updates, and important notices about the Extension. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

We do not use your email for targeted advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Retention

3.1 Where Data is Stored

Your email address is stored in our secure backend database hosted on servers in the United States. Access to this database is restricted to authorised Linkedroid personnel and protected by industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS).

3.2 Local Extension Storage

The Extension stores a minimal authentication token (session token) in your browser's local chrome.storage.local. This token is used only to keep you logged in between browser sessions. It does not contain any LinkedIn data. You can clear it at any time by logging out of the Extension or uninstalling it.

3.3 Retention Period

Your account data (email) is retained for as long as your account is active.
If you request account deletion, your email is permanently deleted from our database within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

4.1 Service Providers

We may share your email address with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the service (e.g., transactional email delivery, payment processing). These providers are contractually obligated to:

Use your data only to perform services on our behalf.
Never use it for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
Maintain appropriate security standards.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your email address if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Comply with a legal obligation or court order.
Protect the rights or property of Linkedroid.
Prevent fraud or investigate a security incident.

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your email address may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified via email of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your data.

5. Chrome Extension Permissions

The Extension requests certain browser permissions to function. Below is a transparent explanation of each permission and why it is needed:

`alarms`	To schedule and run LinkedIn automation tasks (e.g., campaign sending) at configured intervals in the background.
Host: `://.linkedin.com/*`	To read and interact with LinkedIn page content required for automation features (connection requests, messaging, etc.). Data from these pages is processed locally in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
Host: `://linkedroid.com/`	To communicate with the Linkedroid backend API for authentication and license validation only.

6. Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your email address:

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Our database enforces strict access controls and is not publicly accessible.
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms; we never store plain-text passwords.

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access – Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction – Request that we correct inaccurate data.
Deletion – Request that we delete your account and associated email address.

The Extension is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at help@linkedroid.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:
